End of October/Start of November Event Listing

Aloha Members! We have a busy end-of-month coming up, so here's a summary.

This Saturday at 9:30 AM is the New Member Orientation Meeting.  If it's your first year, or even if you just want to learn more, come and join the fun.  Sign up just as you would for a regular paddle.

Next Friday, October 31 we're having our monthly potluck on Halloween!  Feel free to come in costume!

On Saturday,  November 1, at 9 AM,  the Steering team is hosting a huli session that is open to everyone in the club.  Especially as we head into more energetic waters, come and give yourselves a refresher.  A huli drill leaves everyone more safe.

On Saturday, November 1, from 10 to 12 is a steering training clinic for our steersmen-in-training.  You are welcome to join if you have at least one year of paddling experience.  If you want to be a steersman, you need to attend.

And the Journal Club meets on Tuesday, November 4, at 9:30 AM.   The topic for November is a profile of Kailua Canoe Club as a A Values-based Holistic Approach to Leadership.  Email Krisishii@aol.com for a copy of the next journal article.

We will be posting event updates on the Keauhou Canoe Club Pictures and More Facebook page, which is located here.
