We are proud of our outreach and teaching programs, especially for keiki and youth. For more than 20 years, the club has awarded youth scholarships, with a new scholarship added in 2025.

Our volunteers connect the club with the broader community. We work with Keauhou Bay Stakeholders, Legacy for Public Lands, Daughters of Hawaiʻi, cultural practitioners, conservation groups, and local businesses to protect and care for the bay and surrounding lands. Members take part in monthly maintenance days at the halau — cutting weeds, clearing the grounds, and caring for the beach — as well as regular beach cleanups across West Hawaiʻi.

KCC is also a place for gathering and friendship. We host monthly pau hanas and birthday breakfasts, and members participate in regatta and long-distance paddling seasons.

Our members extend their spirit of service across Hawaiʻi Island, volunteering for local, national, and international events and joining efforts focused on education, empowerment, and cultural sharing.

This spirit of giving back reflects our mission: to live laulima — many hands working together — and to honor the power of community.
